Beolab 8000
Iconic Bang & Olufsen, suited to use a front pair in a Dolby Digital environment or as a stereo loudspeaker pair for audio reproduction only. With a timeless design and the option of black, grey or white frets, Beolab 8000 entered their 15th year of production in 2009 yet were superceded by the MK3 Beolab 8002 loudspeaker only a year or so later - the design remained remarkably unchanged, with subtle repositioning of the on/off LED and the choice of using more powerful ICE amplification internally.
The MK2 speakers (from serial 1699 onwards, roughly late 2002/early 2003) benefit from a revised PCB which enabled the speaker to reportedly produce lower bass frequencies when the listening level is relatively low. In our experience the MK1 Beolab 8000, with appropriate price reduction, is particularly good value for money. Used with a Beolab 2 subwoofer, it makes no difference whether you opt for a MK1 or MK2!
Floor or wall mounting options, white frets are available
